Cane Toads: Making The Switch From Nocturnal?

While the cane-toad has usually considered to be a nocturnal animal, new research has revealed that this toxic Australian amphibian can switch their conditions, with some now being found to be active during the day. This shift in the cane-toad’s behaviour was discovered by a group of researches including Simon Clulow, an environmental biologist from Macquarie University, who has studied the these animals over the past 10 years and observed these changes in the Kimberley gorges. Simon joined us on Drive to discuss his research further.
