Capital bashing: An Australian past time or a global one?
We’re lucky here in Sydney a lot of the time, we live in one of the biggest tourist destinations in the world. And if you were to go on holiday without heading overseas, where might you go? Melbourne? The Great Barrier Reef before it disappears? Canberra is pretty far down a lot of people’s list but given it’s the centre of political power in this country, is that unusual? On the series Curious Canberra, one curious resident of our capital wondered if capital ‘bashing’ is solely an Australian characteristic or rather a global phenomenon.
