Cherry Blossoms are Blossoming and There’s a Festival to Celebrate

The winter chill is ebbing away, the sun’s staying up a little longer and the days are getting a little warmer – it all only means one thing: Cherry blossoms! And Sydney is the perfect place to celebrate.
Cumberland Council’s award-winning Cherry Blossom Festival will begin this Friday, 17th August, at the Auburn Japanese Gardens. There are hundreds of activities and events to look out for, including traditional Sumo-wrestling, a Hello Kitty make-over bar and a pop-up Japanese bar serving plenty of quality sake.
The 10 day celebration ends August 26th, so be sure to clear some time for a serene garden walk among the cherry blossom trees.
