Digital rights enforcement in the workplace
High-school educated, blue collar Australians and those over 40 are most worried when their employers acquire their posts on social media. Because Australians are now connected digitally, mostly via smartphones, there are better opportunities for employers to check on employees personal data. New research from the University of Sydney shows that Australians have anxiety about digital privacy and how it is affected by profiling and data analytics. However, employees with lower education levels may not be concerned about such practices or unaware of the issue. So what can we do as users to get more educated?
