Domestic violence affects on regional & rural women

1 in 5 women is or has been affected by domestic violence, but in rural and regional parts of Australia, that number jumps to 1 in 4.

It’s a big difference that is caused by a number of factors, from male stereotypes to service provision.

Dr Gina Dillon is from the University of New England. She has crunched the numbers on the domestic violence differences between metropolitan and regional areas.
