Eel Festival at Elizabeth Farm
Seasons come and seasons go….underpinned within the great cycle of life…enshrining upon all earthlings the breath of life longing for it-self. On certain occasion, Indigenous people throughout Australia celebrate sacred seasonal stations with ceremony and gatherings that reconnect to ancestral memories, totems and passages of time. Once again, the eel festival is about to embrace Sydney, an event that brings ancestral know how to our contemporary world. Jess spoke with Hayden Walsh, indigenous producer from the Sydney Living Museum about the up-coming eel festival at Elizabeth Farm.
