First on the show today, we examine the link between muscle stiffness and injury in AFL players. Research shows that stiffness has an impact on performance and hamstring injuries in particular. But how much, or how little, stiffness is ideal?
Next up, we chat to Professor Mary Renfrew. Professor Renfrew was a key advocate for change in the delivery of midwifery services in the United Kingdom in the 1980s, after being frustrated with the unnatural way women and newborns were cared for. She has continued her passion for research, and is currently the Professor of Mother and Infant Health at the University of Dundee in Scotland. She is also a key technology partner and visiting Professor at the University of Technology Sydney.
