Sylvia Freedman

At 21, Sylvia was diagnosed with endometriosis.

Endometriosis is a disease that attacks the reproductive organs in women, often causing chronic pelvic pain and infertility..

It was only a few years ago that Sylvia was actually diagnosed with endometriosis, although she had been feeling the symptoms from age 11.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Communications majoring in Social Inquiry at UTS, Syl now fronts the not for profit health promotion charity Endo Active with her mum Lesley.

Endo Active is an organisation aimed at bringing the conversation around endometriosis to the forefront, a conversation which Syl says is rarely ever brought up.
