Ethical Guidelines on Future Technologies Released in Report
Just last week, the Ethically Aligned Design Report was released by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. The report is a culmination of a year’s work by an international team of over 250 researchers in fields of philosophy, engineering, anthropology and more. The report tackles the ethical and social implications of autonomous and intelligent systems, setting out new guidelines on everything from big data and social media algorithms to self thinking weapons. Rafael Calvo, Professor and ARC Future Fellow from the University of Sydney elaborates.
