Fake Scotch and Tequila Are Being Sold In Liquor Stores
Australians drinks approximately 35 million litres of spirits a year. Although it’s our taste for tequila which has seen our imports double in the last decade. A rise in consumption which has ushered a spawn of local and not necessarily legitimate cheaper tequila and scotch products in our bars, pubs and independent liquor stores. A roaring trade that could be putting our consumers at risk. Greg Miskelly, Investigative reporter and producer for the ABC joined us to discuss these insights.
