How on-site safety culture is impacting off-site mental health

Ryan Baker has spent a number of years working fly in fly out throughout Australia, as an electrician on remote construction and mine sites. In the last 12 months, Ryan has turned his mind to mental health… his own and that of his fellow site workers.

Baker realised the safety culture on-site, that is designed to keep everyone alive and well, is actually having wider implications for the crews when they head home.

This morning Baker joined us to talk about his discovery and the work he is doing to help improve the mental health of young and old.
