While other countries are experiencing the summer heatwaves, it’s the middle of winter here in Australia, which means less sunlight hours, and on top of that, it just started raining again in Sydney yesterday evening. Science has shown that swings in mood and energy can be tied to this. It’s a common depression known as Seasonal Affective Disorder (also known as SAD). Often called “winter blues”, is that an accurate description? What exactly causes this seasonal depression?
