Indigenous Custody Deaths Remain High

Thirty-one years after the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody, Indigenous fatalities remain alarmingly high.

Findings from the Australian Institute of Criminology reveal sixteen Indigenous Australian people died in custody over the past year.

Mia Rakhit talked to Robyn Newitt about why some of the landmark commission’s key recommendations are still going ignored.
