Jai Bwgcolman & brother from Palm island
In the 1900’s, Australian authorities established a mission in Palm Island, for the purpose of resettling 150 different tribal groups from
throughout the northern part of the continent. Over time, the tribal groups inter-married and developed a new sense of identity and purpose.
The new rainbow nation is now known as ‘Bwgcolman’, meaning ‘one people’. The Bwgcolman brothers came to the studio in Sydney to share the story of their people.
