Knit-a-thon for Premature Babies
Every year in Australia 48,000 babies are admitted into the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). That translates to 115 admissions every day. This May Australians are encouraged to celebrate and fundraise for the sick and premature babies for the Miracle Month of May. One such event is a nationwide Knit-a-thon where people can create knitted goodies to be donated directly to the babies and to support the not-for-profit organisation Life’s Little Treasures. Mother of four Belinda Algie created this fundraiser after her own personal experience.
