Learning the truth about Aboriginal housing in NSW
Aboriginal people have lived in what-is-now NSW for tens of thousands of years. But since
1788, NSW laws and policies have often dictated where and how Aboriginal people can live.
Now, the Towards Truth project has released research which helps to piece together the role
housing policy has played in wider attempts to displace Aboriginal people and force
assimilation.
Anna Harding, Director of the Towards Truth project at the Public Interest Advocacy Centre (PIAC) joined 2SER Breakfast to discuss the project and the on-going impacts of housing law and policies on Aboriginal people.
