Medicinal Cannabis and Palliative Care
Medicinal cannabis is a highly controversial issue, and while it has been legalised by the Federal Government in November last year, there is still a way to go to find out what it is best used for.
Serious delays have resulted for those who have been prescribed medicinal cannabis due to a longer than anticipated wait for the approval of the first licence for private cultivation. An announcement by Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt yesterday to relax importation laws is hoped will shorten waiting times.
