Morris Gleitzman is the new Australian Children’s Laureate

He is an award winning children’s author, a household name for most Australians and to top all that off Morris Gleitzman has been named as the 2018-2019 Australian Children’s Laureate. Announced just this monday as the new Laureate, Morris is taking over from Leigh Hobbs, with previous Laureates including Alison Lester and Jackie French.

His theme for his two year term as Laureate will be “Stories that make us – Stories that create our future”. Nic chats all things Laureate with Morris, what he’s hoping to achieve over the next two years and why stories matter even more than ever before.
