Movie Reviews with Michael Jones
When the latest films hit cinemas across the country on Thursday, resident film guru Michael Jones wanders in to run the rule over them.
This week Michael took a look at Connor McGregor: Notorious, Jungle and Professor Marston and the Wonder Women
Connor McGregor: Notorious follows the story of champion MMA fighter Connor McGregor, from his formative years in Ireland to the international superstar of today. Director Gavin Fitzgerald takes an approach that will really omly appeal to fans of McGregor.
Jungle, directed by Greg McLean and starring Daniel Radcliffe, sees a group of young adventurous men face disaster followed by disaster in the Amazonian jungles of Bolivia in the 80s. Michael says while it’s a bit of an ordeal, there’s plenty of gruesome scenes and jump scares to keep you mostly engaged throughout.
Professor Marston and the Wonder Women, written and directed by Angela Robinson, takes a look at Professor William Moulton Marston, and his role in creating Wonder Woman. The story is told through a series of flashbacks, and focus around Marston, his wife Elizabeth and their lover Olive Byrne, as their lifestyle led to the creation of one of the most iconic comic book characters of our time.
