NAPLAN Placing Pressure On Young Students

Recently, Year 9 students from all over the state sat the NAPLAN tests. These standardised tests have been under the spotlight due to new reforms requiring students to achieve a band 8 result to receive their HSC, yet almost two thirds of year 9 students will fail the NAPLAN test and will have to resit the tests. 2SERÂ spoke to Steven Grieve, Executive Director of NSW Parents Council about the new NAPLAN reforms and the high pressure placed on students.
