The NDIS’ impact on the economy labelled as ‘significant’ finds new report, with the new modelling showing a $2.25 benefit for every dollar spent on the scheme. The report comes in response to recent government concerns on the sustainability of the NDIS, which advocates are labelling as ‘unfounded’. Disability Advocates warn of the potential consequences of cost-cutting, with every $1 billion the scheme is underfunded, costing around 10,200 jobs. The National Disability Service has recently launched a campaign in hopes the government shifts its focus from cost-cutting to the real-life benefits of the NDIS.
