Open-Plan Offices: Are They Really What The Bosses Want?

In recent years, employers have moved away from housing their workers in cubicles, favouring an open-plan office where there are no walls between workers.
The idea was to encourage workers to take business face-to-face with each other, but in practice, the workers became less focused and text/ email messaging increased dramatically.
