Oyobi on Drive and In Your Hood
Polyrhythmic firecrackers Oyobi are an Eora-based electro-Latin supergroup combining electronic machines with analog synths to explore the harmony between folkloric rhythm and electronic, machine-based live performance. Their 2019 debut EP, Translations, received momentous praise, with their title track summiting the Traxsource global charts, and many of their songs featuring in the iconic compilation ‘Late Night Tales’, as well as in Bandcamp Weekly.
Closer to home, Oyobi is on the billing for 2SER’s In Your Hood. Head down to Mort Bay Park in Birchgrove this Saturday, July 20th from midday to 5pm to experience the musical magic of Oyobi (one stop on the F8 ferry from Circular Quay).
