Have you ever had a junk food craving so intense that you could smell the food when it wasn’t even around you? Junk food is hard to resist, and our addiction to it doesn’t always come down to self-control. The design of packages, brands and the marketing of junk food products can influence how we value and consume them. So it’s no wonder why obesity has become Australia’s biggest public health challenge, with the disease affecting 60% of Australians.  Jane Martin from The Obesity Policy Coalition joined The Daily to discuss the effects of the marketing and packaging of junk food products.
