Pets and Energy Consumption
With around 5.7 million households across the country including at least one pet and Aussies collectively spending billions of dollars a year on their fury family members it is safe to say Australians love their pets!
In fact we love them so much that it is becoming common place for people to leave televisions, air conditioners, heaters and other comfort items on while they are away from the house to ensure their pets are comfortable and happy at all times.
But what effect is this having on our energy consumption and what could it mean for the future of energy usage in Australia?
