Random Acts of Kindness

We tend to know kindness when we see it and feel its absence when it’s not around. But what is kindness? Is kindness just a benevolent feeling, a caring thought, or a generous action? Or could it be something bigger that defines us, human beings?

Are they any benefits to being kind?  To answer these questions, Beth interviewed Dr James Kirby.  James is a senior lecturer at the University of Queensland.  He is also a clinical psychologist and the Co-Director of the Compassionate Mind Research Group at the University of Queensland.
