Rise in Melioidosis cases in NT

Melioidosis. A name that is hard to pronounce and deadly to the human body. Up next we have Dr Vicki Krause, director of Disease and control at NT department of health to shed light on the increase in cases in the NT for this bacteria-born disease. 

 In a recent media release issued by the Northern Territory government, Dr Rosalind Webby , acting director of center of disease control stated that “Approximately 50 cases of melioidosis are reported in the NT each year…to date 13 cases have been reported this month, double the amount of what is expected for this time of year”
