Rise in Paper Book Sales

A few years ago, E-books were predicted to overtake paper books, however now the reverse is true. According to UK Publishers Association for 2016, e-book sales have dropped by 17% and the sales of physical books has risen by 8%.

Kindle was launched in 2007 and Apple’s Ipad launched in 2010. Between 2008 and 2010, e-book sales rose 1260%. Between 2009 and 2012, paper book  sales decreased. In 2011, Amazon reported it was selling more e-books than paperbacks. Colouring books have also increased in popularity.

Myles Houlbrook-Walk was joined by CEO and co-founder of Pantera Press, Alison Green to discuss more about the issue.
