Cutting to the Marrow in Skeleten’s Closet
Skeleten is what you get when you take the modular synthesis of Caribou, season it with the ambient twinkling of Four Tet, and churn it in a cauldron with the glitchy breakbeats of DJ Shadow and the transcendental boogie of Earth, Wind, & Fire. Skeleten is the solo moniker of one Russell Fitzgibbon, who you might know from his early output as one half of Fishing, or from his more recent work — this Sunday will mark exactly one year of ”Under Utopia”, which was a 2SER feature album on release.
He’s back with new material for the first time since then, and dropped by Tuesday Drive with Jono to share the barebones about “Deep Scene”, out now via Astral People, and to put the “disco” in “disconnecting from reality”!
