Action for Public Housing says social housing will not replace public housing shortages.

Spokesperson Rachel Evans says in some cases tenants pay more rent and live with unrealistic rules in social housing. It follows NSW Housing Minister Jackson’s saying Glebe public housing will become social housing. Ms Evans says the crisis is with thousands of unoccupied private investment dwellings. Over 57,000 are now homeless in NSW.
