How to survive sharks in the brewery business
When a key supplier disappeared with thousands of dollars worth of equipment and cash, it could have resulted in disaster for the start-up micro-breweries who had invested their dollars and their hopes in the company. And it very nearly did for Sydney’s Shark Island Brewery, who were hoping to have launched their company and their new brew on to the market last year, when their supplier went bust. But thanks to social media, they soon found that they weren’t the only company left in the lurch… and that others were there to lend a hand.
