Taronga Zoo’s NAIDOC Week Exhibition – MUSE

NAIDOC Week is a time to reflect and celebrate upon the rich cultural legacy of indigenous Australia and Torres Strait Islanders. Over the years, the re-conciliatory message of NAIDOC Week has made its way into the fabric of Australia’s civil society – This year’s theme is ‘Voice – Treaty – Truth’. Taronga Zoo is showcasing the stories of 10 indigenous artists, whose narrative is anchored within the ancestral rhythms of cultural insights – connected to country. Jess spoke with Haley Smithers-Kirk, interpretation officer at Taronga Zoo – about NAIDOC Week and the MUSE Exhibition.
