Tattooing over scars: healing after a mastectomy

Breast cancer is the most common cancer afflicting women worldwide. But how do these millions of incredible women live with the scars that are left behind?

Most women are left with two options – reconstruction or no reconstruction. But some women are bucking the trend and creating a third – choosing to have their mastectomy scars covered with empowering tattoos.

An American organisation known as P. INK is fundraising to make sure breast cancer doesn’t leave the last mark.
