Tensions Rising in the Persian Gulf
The president of Iran, Hassan Rouhani has warned world leaders that security in the Persian Gulf could collapse quickly ‘in a single moment’.
In a speech at the UN general assembly, Mr Rouhani accused the US of engaging in “merciless economic terrorism” against his country, opposing harsh oil-related sanctions the US have imposed on Iran in recent times.
