The Art of Longing
With borders closed, we have all become a little more acquainted with a sense of longing for people and places we currently can’t visit. Andjana (Andy) Pachkova is a Ukrainian born, Russian raised, Harvard educated (ex) Wall Street Lawyer, turned passionate artist. Her second solo show currently on at Stanley Street Gallery in Darlinghurst is titled Fernweh: Into the Blue, further explore a sense of longing. Fernweh is a German word, meaning far-sickness, or a longing for far-away unexplored places.
