In 2014 the power of developers would see the Baird Liberal government commit to the selling off public housing in the inner-city suburb of Miller’s Point, leading to the eviction of a community that in some cases had lived in these homes for over 50 years.

Documenting this struggle between real-estate dollars and public housing tenants would be the documentary “The Eviction” which is premiering at the Antennae Documentary Film Festival in October. Stephen Hill spoke with the director Blue Lucine about this film.
