Have you ever had that moment at work where your brain feels stuck and too exhausted to focus on work? You’ve heard that taking a break helps, but how long should it be? And what should we do during a break?

With productivity culture becoming more popular in our work lives and countless take-a-break hacks filling our social media feed, it’s hard to know what works. A University of Sydney study sought to test the effect of breaks on our focus and attention driving learning.

Author of the study, Associate Professor in Educational Psychology Paul Ginns joined 2SER Breakfast to discuss the study and provide some tips on how to get the most out of your breaks.
