Think before you ink
‘Getting inked’ is becoming more accepted in society, with 14.5 percent of all Australians sporting at least one tattoo. With 18 to 30 year olds, it’s a staggering one quarter. Are there any dangers to it or not? Recent reports from the Australian government’s National Industrial Chemical’s Notification and Assessment Scheme (NICNAS) are showing some of the tattoo inks tested are carcinogenic.The results may have you closely surveying your own tattoos, but this issue is more than skin deep.
