Triple J Hottest 100 to no longer air on Australia Day

Triple J’s Hottest 100 will be aired on the 27th of January from next year. The decision to move the date of the countdown was announced yesterday and breaks the long standing Australia Day tradition. This decision has met great controversy, with some people believing the move is a poor attempt to  push a political agenda, while others believe it is necessary and long overdue.

Broede Carmody, Entertainment Reporter at Fairfax Media joined us on the show to speak about the  announcement.
