UK study shows increase of depression in women within the art and cultural sector

Despite a constant battle with job unpredictability and insecurity, the art and cultural sector is recognized to support the health and well-being of individuals. However, a study conducted in the United Kingdom released earlier this year reveals that women from within the arts and cultural sector are facing depression as domestic responsibilities increase during the pandemic’s lock down restrictions.

Involved in the study, Dr Solange Glasser from the University of Melbourne joined The Daily to discuss how increased domestic responsibilities are contributing to the problem.
