Wansolwara: One Salt Water
Wansolwara is a pidgin word from the Solomon Islands meaning ‘one-salt-water’ or ‘one ocean, one people’. The term refers to a connected waterscape, that which holds distinct and diverse cultures and communities.
As part of the Sydney Festival 2020, Wansolwara, the exhibition is a project that crosses UNSW Galleries and 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art.
Alongside the show, there will also be a panel discussion held at 4A Centre for Contemporary Art.
This morning, our host Nicole Beck spoke with Paula Schaafhausen who’s work ‘Ebbing Tagaola’ is currently on display at 4A.
