Film: Roald Dahl Collection, Wes Anderson
This collection of four short films from the great Wes Anderson arrived a couple of weeks ago, and are based on various Roald Dahl short stories. Although most people may associate Roald Dahl with quirky children’s books, the author’s short stories delve even deeper into dark and twisted themes which blend wonderfully with Anderson’s directorial style, and all star casting which ensures that each character is engagingly brought to life
The collections consists of The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar, The Swan, The Rat Catcher and Poison.

Album: Isn’t It Now, Animal Collective
This great new release is Animal Collective’s 12th studio album. Isn’t It Now is daring, challenging, and solidifies the band as one of the greats of the last few decades. Despite being their longest album, sitting at roughly 64 mins, the record still feels concise and very cohesive. Be sure to catch this one if you dig experimental psychedelia.

Javelin takes the final spot for today. Sufjan Stevens 10th studio album was recorded in the artists home studio and delivers a unique package that is simultaneously pastoral and hateful. This album comes at a turbulent time in the musicians life, having recently been diagnosed with autoimmune disease and experiencing the loss of a partner.
