Monday Daily Gig Guide 31/05/21
The Monday daily gig guide was out in full force last week with Jarred, Oscar and Monday Daily producer Bella, heading to a special edition of the Lansdowne hotels graveyard series catching The nagging doubts and Peel! Following the 2SER get-together at the UTS loft bar.
Here’s what you have to look forward to this week :
The Dandelion W. Rosa Maria – Wednesday 2/05 – OAF
So first up this week, we have another instalment of the Oxford Art Factories weekly series, which will be running across every Wednesday for the next couple of months. The Dandelion are gracing the stage, a group that weave an old kind of magic. Their own mix of musical spells are not unlike those woven in the 1960s. With a sound like seeds turning into flowers, they bring gifts for the Goddess of magical powers.
Third eye stimuli records band Rosa Maria will also be serving up their best sultry surf sound waves for your Wednesday evening.
The Buoys – Thursday 3/06 – Mary’s Underground
Next up, we have a band that gets a spin on 2SER quite a bit. The Buoys are playing at one of Oscar’s favourite venues in Sydney, Mary’s Underground! They’ll be promoting their new single, ‘Bad Habit’, Oscar had a chat with the bands lead singer, Zoe, about what people can expect from the show, and she started by talking about the meaning behind bad habit.
Floodlights – Saturday 5/06 – Mary’s Underground
To close off an absolute belter of a live music week, we’ve got Floodlights playing at once again, yeah, you guessed it, Mary’s underground! Floodlights make honest, catchy rock music that melds ’80s alternative rock with ’90s New Zealand jangle-pop.
