A conversation with writer and presenter James Jennings about his early interests in film and music and some of his many encounters with the creative people he’s interviewed over the years.

In the realm of film, James has been editor of Empire magazine and he’s hosted live Q and A’s on stage with filmmakers such as Steven Spielberg and Quentin Tarantino.

As you’ll hear, actor Jamie Lee Curtis made an especially good impression when James met her for an interview.

In music journalism, James has written for Rolling Stone and does live gig reviews for The Sydney Morning Herald.  James has interviewed hip hop legends Chuck D, Ice Cube, De La Soul and Grandmaster Flash among many other musical artists.

Of the entertainers he’s interviewed, James says Cyndi Lauper stands out as someone who was a pleasure to meet.

James is a host of The Australian Ghost Whisperer podcast and you’ll hear some of his experiences with the supernatural and paranormal and how he met his co-host, psychic Caterina Ligato.
