Future Moon Travel to Benefit Life on Earth
Human and scientific missions to the Moon are currently being planned by India, China and Russia. NASA has recently announced a revamped vision for a ‘Deep Space Gateway’ that includes a port of call at the Moon en route to Mars and beyond. Even CEO extraordinaire Elon Musk has called for a Moon base. Part of this interest stems from Google’s multi-million dollar XPRIZE, an initiative challenging private companies to develop low-cost methods for robotic space exploration.
