Get a better sleep for World Sleep Day 2018
Today is World Sleep Day for 2018, so to get a better picture of the state of sleep in Australia, Nic talked to Dr Melinda Jackson, Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Psychology at RMIT, and member of the Australasian Sleep Association.
She highlighted that up to 40 percent of Australians were not getting enough high quality sleep, and were suffering as a result. Thankfully, she had a few simple tips on how we can get a better sleep on a regular basis.
She emphasised the importance of winding down in the hours before bedtime, maintaining a regular sleep routine, and restricting the amount of time we spend on technology just before bed, something which many of us are are guilty.
