As a species, we are quite amazing at creating and using technologies to solve our problems. So why do we still rely heavily on fossil fuels when they create so much environmental havoc? The COVID-19 pandemic has seen a dramatic reduction in carbon emissions. But many believe this short-term dip and change in behaviours will not last. So, what is a more sustainable approach to significantly reducing our carbon footprint? If we suddenly stopped extracting oil, coal and gas… would the world collapse?
