Can maths predict your career’s success?

In a business like show business, it can be hard for an actor to predict their next move.
Well, a team from Queen Mary University of London say they can do just that. Using a mathematical method, they’ve been able to predict an actor’s productivity with 85% accuracy, and judge whether their best years are ahead or behind them.
To discuss maths’ predictive power, I’m joined by Dr Richard Garner, Senior Lecturer in Mathematics at Macquarie University.
