This week on Dictionary of Sydney, Mark Dunn tells us about 19th Century engineer, Peter Nicol Russell. Russell’s extremely successful firms allowed him to donate today’s equivalent of about $50 million pounds to the University of Sydney’s engineering school. The Peter Nicol Russell Building still stands at the University of Sydney today.
