On tonight’s show: Razors Edge puts the spotlight on two stories of people power.

On the Release of Assange – Wife Stella Speaks Out

Wife Stella and family wants Australian Journalist Julian Assange released. Still languishing in jail in the UK, he’s indicted by the US for leaking military secrets. Especially on the dirty wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Global media also released Assange’s classified documents from his Wikileaks online platform.

Stella’s pleas for Assange’s release received a standing ovation during her visit at the Australian parliament this week. Where bipartisan calls are suggesting a diplomatic solution.

Ukraine is Here to Stay – The people of Kyiv who’ve bravely reclaimed their land from Russia’s 14th air attack this month, are celebrating Kyiv Day.

It is the anniversary of their city’s foundation more than 1500 years ago. Their President Volodymyr Zelensky has paid tribute to the country’s air defence forces, calling them “heroes.”

Meanwhile back in Australia the diasporic and refugee families who escaped the war, are doing all they can to help with humanitarian aid.

Many are mothers and daughters who’ve left brothers and husbands back in Ukraine – still defending their country against Russia.

The humanitarian appeal U-help led by the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO), is drumming up support for women and men in the frontline.
